Hello,

I have human growth hormone deficiency and have been taking HGH shots everyday since I was 14. I am now 19 and I am about to get off the medicine. I was wondering if all of the benefits and side effects would leave once I stop taking the medicine?

Like, for example:

1) I know vocal chords are a muscle and HGH makes muscles thicker. Does this mean when I get off the medicine that I will be able to talk/sing higher? Or will the muscles stay thick?
*I am a singer so being able to sing higher actually wouldn’t be a bad thing.

2) I am not fat nor skinny, but I have a little "pudge" and I am always hungry. Do you think my "pudgyness" will wear-off (along with my hunger)?

3) Right now I am pretty strong. Does going off the human growth hormone mean that all the muscle I have gained will shrink after coming off it?

I am honestly a little scared about what’s going to happen, so please try to answer as seriously as possible.

I can’t ask my doctor because I no longer have any insurance, and it costs money to talk on the phone with him. Also; I am going to school halfway around the world… So I doubt I could get a hold of him anyways. I have seen doctors on here before, and I know there has to be people on here who have been on HGH before and have been taken off. So I am just asking, HOPING that someone will be able to help.

I am 18, 108 pounds, male, 5’4 11 1/2 shoe size. All the males in my family are 5"10 ++++ All the girls at least 5"5

Ever since the 8th grade I have stopped aging. My face is EXACTLY the same…proven through photo’s. (I look like a 13-14 year old). I haven’t grown a centimeter. My penis has not grown any…4 in erect…~1.5 inch girth….My testicles and pubic hair however have continued to mature. I’m almost to the adult form. I have a little facial hair…My voice sounds like a normal 18 year old I believe.

I went through a lot of stress in the 8th grade…Not enough time to list why. But it was an abnormal amount for an 8th grader.

I am thinking I have Human Growth Hormone Deficiency…It just fits…a little too well. I want to find out before it’s too late. My family doctor says I’m fine, but I don’t believe him. What I’m going through is not normal. I want to get a 2nd opinion, and go to a endocrinologist…But my mom says i’m obsessing, which I doubt I am. I was told by a doctor i had Growth Hormone Deficiency. Im 15 years old, 4’10, and i will be starting injections of HGH. Will i be at least 5’3 in a year? Around what hight will i end up at by age 18? will i be a normal height of at least 5’7?

I have growth hormone deficiency, but I take growth hormone shots every night, so I’m of average heighth, but does that affect my testosterone level in any way? I’m a male by the way.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with Human Growth Hormone Deficiency. I’ve been doing some internet searches, so I’m a little more understanding of it now, but still have questions. I realize that it is controversial due to abuse, but it absolutely answers questions I’ve had about why I’ve been struggling so long with absolutely NO energy, depression, etc., etc. Things I’ve been reading about this says those symptoms and others I have go along with it. I also know that children being diagnosed are given HGH for extra height, but I’m an adult. However, I am concerned because my level of HGH is way below the low level of where it should be, according to a blood test I took. I came out as a "74" when, according to my doctor, it needs to be at least around 200. The "normal" range is from 84-upper 200′s. Is anyone familiar with this and/or do you take HGH and if so, can you tell a difference from before you took it? Because treatment isn’t cheap, I appreciate any comments or advice.
Edit to "hngland" and others: I am planning on taking this issue up with another doctor (even though it was a doctor who just diagnosed me). I was merely interested if anyone else in YA has had experience with taking HGH and what their experiences have been.

Okay this is a pretty weird question, I’m a 17 year old male and I have GHD (Growth Hormone Deficiency) which basically means my body does not produce near enough growth hormone naturally for me to grow to a normal male height etc. So I’ve been prescribed (for about 2 years already now) Human Growth Hormone injections to take on a regular basis, when I first got these the doctors warned me that when not for medical use they are a black market product because they can sorta be used like powerful steroids by bodybuilders etc. I’ve recently started to notice that my muscles are growing really quite large and becoming much more tense naturally when I am hardly doing any regular exercise, I’ve also slimmed down a lot to an average weight and it’s generally making me feel pretty good about myself. My doctor told me that I will probably be on these injections for another year or so yet which got me wondering how I could make the most of the time I have left using this powerful hormone substance. Is it just a simple case of the more I workout the larger my muscles will grow? Or can anyone suggest more precise ways in which I could build up my muscles faster or bigger whilst I’m still taking it?

Note: I have to take an exact dose every day so adjusting the dosage isn’t an option.
