Have you heard of codex alimentarius, what do you think of it?
I heard this morning for the first time EVER of the international food trade organisation Codex Alimentarius which was set up in 1964!
They have legislation in act today but its not law, it’s up to the individual company and person to follow it. No one does, and for good reason…
On Dec 31st 2009 the Codex Alimentarius WILL become law, I’ll get to the point, here are some facts I found out today about C.A.
If two countries one Codex compliant and one not Codex compliant, face the World Trade Organization and enter a dispute resolution process. The Codex compliant country automatically wins regardless of the merit of the case
Codex is a Napoleonic Code Law system, stating anything not permitted is forbidden (creating a "positive list"), in regards to nutrients and herbs
In 1994 Codex declared nutrients are defined as toxins, toxin meaning poison
Because nutrients are defined as toxins, they will be limited to the "positive list" above (est. 18 nutrients) excluding Cocutine, Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulphate which are important but do include Fluoride which has, according to physicians no biological benefits
Codex would make nutrients that affect the human body Illegal, like heroin
Under Codex, every dairy cow on the planet must be treated with Monsanto’s Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone
Under Codex, every animal used for human consumption on the planet must be treated with Sub-clinical Antibiotics and Exogenous Growth Hormones
Codex requires all food be radiated, unless eaten locally and raw
Codex sets limits for the dangerous industrial chemicals permit table in food, which are extremely high
In 2001 twelve dangerous organic chemicals called Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) were so dangerous, 176 countries agreed to be ban them world wide.
Nine of the 12 are pesticides, Codex has brought 7 of the nine pesticides back.
Foods containing these 7 pesticides cannot be stopped at our countries border, because it would be a World Trade Violation
Codex, according to the World Trade Organisation and Food and Agriculture Organisation joint projections estimates that just the guideline and mineral alone will cause 3 Billion deaths worldwide. 1 Billion, through starvation (3rd world) and 2 Billion from preventable diseases of under nutrition (world wide)
It will be illegal to send and distribute food aid to and in famine ridden countries!!!!!!!
Every country in the world has to be Codex compliant in order not to get hit by World Trade Organization sanctions!
When I first seen the doc (link Below) I thought it was crazy but followed it up and is indeed very true and i for one am terrified at the potential devastation such legislation will bring
