Apparently it does. Like the muscles become so thick if you continue weight lifting that it stops bones from growing or something. =D

there is not one medical study that proves resistance training stunts the growth of the human skeletal system. there never has been and there never will be. resistance training has proven to be nothing but healthy for the young and old, man or woman.

First of all its a ongoing topic for many years , but still if u can go to a gym and see people training and also many professionals who are tall and not shunted by weight training , i took my serious weight training from 14 yrs and now i am 28 and 5ft and 11 inches tall i cannot see myself short , rather i belive working out made me grow high
if all persons are to be shunted by weight training there won’t be normal guys in the world , maybe its an illusion u can also see if a normal guy after weight training gains size wider he may look small .
its people who hates to be in shape brings out all sorts of scary things to buzz of beginners , take care stay fit.

No, weight lifting does not stunt your growth. When I was in high school i started lifting weights at age 14. I was 5’3" then and i grew to 5’7". I had a workout partner who was about the same size as me when we got started and today he’s 6’4"! So he grew about one foot! So don’t worry, you can go ahead and lift weights. It won’t stunt your growth. That’s just a myth.
